Possibly one of the first times I have ever not used one of my first designs after Matt nudged me away from my original three concepts. In the end it turned out to be a very constructive result with the final concept being more plyable and full of possible enviromental pluses and design ideas, specifically that a building is a journey.
That being said however it is also one of the first times i have had to rely fully on my drawings to convey my ideas, as the curved walls and roof of my concept desidedly turned into a modelling disaster. Note to self: never use supposably "self supporting" clay as a modelling tool... After the disaster i turned to doing a horizontal sectional model which turned out ok, though i was not intirely pleased with it.
I was slightly annoyed that the tutors in my review group all seemed to have the understanding that Minima was defined as a small space, instead of that of a minimal space. Minimal and small do not nessisarily mean the same thing, but of course everyone is intitled to thier own opinion!
Overall a well resolved project. Hopefully...
Hayden
P.S: I'm sorry if we weren't supposed to post Minima on this blog... i saw "over the 12 weeks" so i thought it must be.
